"Green Week": Guests of the German President.
CLAAS Agrosystems will be participating in the "Green Week" in Berlin on June 5th and 6th, 2012. At their stand in Schloss Bellevue park, the official residence of the German President, the Gütersloh-based company will demonstrate how the combined use of a crop sensor, nutrient application map and the NIR Sensor make it possible to meter fertilising agents on a site-specific basis.
The environment benefits from this practical solution in a variety of ways: By using only as much natural fertiliser as is really necessary, the nutrient balance sheet is optimised, nutrient seepage into ground water virtually eliminated, prescribed limits complied with and crude oil consumption reduced.
Some 550 companies, associations, institutes and initiatives applied to participate in the "Green Week" with their environmental and nature protection projects. An independent jury selected 200 exhibitors who they felt were making a pioneering contribution to climate protection. The exhibition is being organised by the German President's office in cooperation with the German Environmental Foundation (DBU).
Due to the stringent safety precautions, visitors must register via the Internet in advance.
