The CROP METER has received the prestigious DLG award for its ability to distinguish between biomass variations in conjunction with the swing angle of the pendulum. CROP METER measurements are particularly suitable as a reference point for site specific variable nitrogen application, application of fungicides as well as stalk stabilisers. The CROP METER makes it easy for you to think in terms of partial areas and act accordingly. Better action plans thanks to the CROP METER.
» An additional tool for you.
The CROP METER isn’t intended to second guess your farming decisions. You or your advisors decide what should be done or not done, both on good crop areas and those with less positive results. The areas you like can be transferred to the whole of the field via the swing of the pendulum.
» Good value for money and enduring.
Thorough research has been carried out which confirms how well the CROP METER can pay its way. Farmers can improve their efficiency and can make the effects of mineral fertiliser and some crop sprays last longer. This of course means that the investment in sensor technology can pay for itself quickly.
» A straightforward idea.
The CROP METER is based on the simple and easily understood mechanical principles of pendulum sensing. Fitting and operation are straightforward and the system makes economic sense from around 100 ha.
» We talk to everyone.

Hartmut Giermann, Director of Bentziner Ackerbau GmbH, Germany We were impressed by the simple and reliable operation and functions of the Crop Meter. In 2006 the Crop Meter was employed on around 600 ha of cereals for N2 fertilisation, application of fungicides and late stage stem stabilisation. Our primary objective was to attain the best possible fertiliser and crop protection distribution in line with the yield potential over the individual segments. Despite pretty awful weather conditions in 2006 we managed to get 5 dt/ha more yield with lower inputs and this was in contrast with the lower yield trends in the region. This device makes it possible to apply just the right amount of fertiliser and crop protection to exactly achieve the best results the crop can deliver.» read more» read less
